The Role:

You will be joining as part of the ApplyBoard’s newest initiative in e-commerce, ApplyShop.

ApplyShop’s team mission is to make education-adjacent products more accessible. We provide the most convenient and cost-effective way to access products like academic exams, online courses, and various other things students need to study abroad.

The Senior Sales Manager is a strategic leader focused on driving revenue growth through effective product launches and market expansions with direct B2B/enterprise sales.

You will play a critical role in planning and executing expansion efforts, closely collaborating with the tightly-knit ApplyShop team. As our reach expands, your emphasis shifts toward strategic planning and oversight of new members that you will oversee. The role involves ownership of sales targets, direct B2B customer engagement with international travel, and proactive monitoring of market trends, requiring collaboration with internal teams such as supplier partnerships, marketing, other sales leaders, and product development members.

What you'll be doing everyday:

  • Developing growth strategies accounting for varying customer personas and multiple products

  • Understanding nuances of varying international markets and cultural tendencies

  • Making decisions through adaptation to customer, market and supplier behaviors

  • Identifying and implementing novel sales and distribution tactics

  • Tool selection and optimization of team workflows

  • Events and partnership initiatives to drive demand and customer engagement

  • Planning and execution of new product and market launches for direct B2B sales & Distribution partnership

  • Resource allocation and budgetary considerations for target attainment

  • Team expansion and hiring

  • Staying up to date with industry changes and sharing insights with the team to adapt our efforts

  • Developing and implementing best practices on tracking, reporting, knowledge sharing for the sales team within ApplyShop

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in dynamic B2B sales environments at a high growth startup and/or multinational enterprise.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated, self-starter who is proactive, and dependable

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle objections

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

  • Aptitude for prioritizing tasks with a high attention to detail to ensure information accuracy
