The Opportunity:

The Senior Marketing Manager, Recruitment Partner Segment Lead, is responsible for the overall Recruitment Partner and Institution Segment strategy at ApplyBoard. The successful candidate would oversee both audiences, but would be particularly hands-on regarding the strategy and execution of promoting and amplifying institutions across our RP base, ensuring marketing efforts drive targeted adoption. The role would also oversee the GTM strategy of new products and services targeted towards Institutions.

What you'll do everyday:

  • Develop and Lead RP/IS Segment Strategy

    • Create and execute a comprehensive segment strategy to promote priority institutions within our RP base.

    • Oversee the prioritization and promotion of schools through available channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • GTM Strategy and Execution

    • Design and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies to enhance the visibility and adoption of priority institutions.

    • Collaborate closely with Sales and school representatives to ensure cohesive and effective marketing initiatives.

    • Innovate and adapt marketing tactics to meet the evolving needs of the segment.

  • Campaign Management and Optimization

    • Plan, execute, and measure multi-channel marketing campaigns, utilizing traditional and digital channels.

    • Analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Serve as a key interface between Marketing, Sales, and school partners to drive segment strategy and execution.

    • Work with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals and objectives.

  • Team Leadership and Development

    • Manage and mentor a direct report responsible for the recruitment partner portfolio and GTM activities.

    • Foster a high-performance team culture focused on accountability, execution excellence, and business impact.

  • Market Research and Insights

    • Conduct market research to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for innovation.

    • Develop a learning agenda to continuously improve brand and customer metrics through experimentation and insights.

What you bring to the table:

  • Marketing Experience

    • 7+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on segment strategy and GTM execution.

    • Experience in promoting educational institutions or related sectors is highly desirable.

  • Educational Background

    • Degree qualified in Marketing, Communication, Commerce, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).

  • Strategic and Creative Thinker

    • Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans.

    • Creative problem-solver who can inspire and motivate teams.

  • Analytical and Commercially Oriented

    • Highly analytical with a focus on business impact.

    • Experience in measuring and optimizing marketing campaigns.

  • Organizational Skills

    • Strong planning, prioritization, and project management skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Communication Skills

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
