The Opportunity:
ApplyBoard is seeking a Workday Financials Functional Analyst to help support one of our school partners in Florida. This role will be part of our Finance team and own how financial operations run within Workday for one of our school partners.
This role will partner closely with Finance leadership and operational teams, translating business needs into scalable, compliant system configurations. You will ensure data integrity, enforce controls, and continuously improve how financial processes operate.
What You’ll Be Doing Every Day:
Own governance of ledgers, cost centers, worktags, and accounting structures
Configure journal sources, accounting rules, and support close and consolidation processes
Manage requisitions, purchase orders, supplier invoices, and supplier accounts
Configure spend authorization, approval workflows, and Delegation of Authority
Configure expense policies, workflows, and corporate card integrations
Manage asset lifecycle including acquisition, depreciation, transfers, and disposals
Support project costing, billing, and revenue processes
Manage customer invoicing and payments
Configure bank accounts, payment runs, and settlement processes
Coordinate with banking integrations
Build financial reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
Develop reconciliation and audit-ready reporting
Maintain role-based security and segregation of duties in partnership with IT
Ensure data integrity across EIB loads, integrations, and financial structures
Lead Workday Financials release readiness, including regression testing and impact analysis
Maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides
Manage and prioritize a continuous improvement backlog aligned to Finance goals
What You Bring to the Table:
5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience with ownership of business process configuration
Strong accounting knowledge including GAAP, close processes, and internal controls
Experience with Foundation Data Model and Financial Accounting, plus at least two of: Procure-to-Pay, Expenses, Business Assets, Projects, Banking and Settlement
Experience building Workday financial reports and calculated fields
Strong stakeholder collaboration and requirements gathering skills
Working knowledge of Workday security and release cycles
