about the job: we're seeking an experienced Compliance Officer (contract) to cover a maternity leave starting Monday, February 16th. This role will support our UK and EU operations and ensure we continue to meet high regulatory, data protection, and governance standards.

about you
- Strong background in Financial Services Compliance, ideally in Travel Insurance and/or the Lloyd’s market
- Deep knowledge of FCA rules (ICOBS, TCF, complaints handling) plus IDD, Data Protection, Sanctions, AML
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Able to translate regulatory requirements into practical business guidance
specifically, you will
- Lead day-to-day compliance activities across the UK and EU
- Support UK/EU Managing Directors in identifying and mitigating regulatory risks
- Maintain and oversee the compliance framework and collaborate with the global compliance team
- Attend internal/external meetings and communicate key compliance updates
- Own data protection compliance (GDPR and other relevant legislation) and partner with IT/Data Security teams
- Ensure adherence to Lloyd’s and Company market delegated authority agreements
- Manage due diligence, KYC, sanctions, and partner oversight
- Review and maintain broker agreements and other regulatory contracts
- Support external audits and deliver required documentation
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and prepare progress reports
- Identify and escalate incidents of non-compliance
- Review policy wordings, marketing, communications, and financial promotions
- Oversee compliance training and monitoring in line with FCA, FSMA, and IDD
- Maintain key compliance registers and escalate risks when needed
- Horizon-scan for regulatory changes and lead implementation across the organisation
- Lead compliance-related research and projects
