At battleface, we operate at the intersection of underwriting, assistance, claims, and technology. We’re seeking a talented EU-based Full Stack Developer (CET preferred) to help build and scale our technology solutions in a fully remote work environment.

about the role: Join an awesome team of developers working on web-based microservices systems hosted on AWS. Collaborate in a dynamic environment to build and maintain scalable, cloud-native solutions.

key duties:

  • Participates in analysis and design activities to produce a viable system design that fits within the overall system architecture whilst addressing all the elicited requirements
  • Designs, develops and maintains robust backend and frontend services in a wide range of technologies
  • Follows established development and testing procedures to ensure quality software development that meets the requirements
  • Creates and maintains documentation regarding systems being developed to ensure long-term maintainability.

about you:

  • University degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development.
  • A proficient and skilled developer with a deep knowledge of PHP or any OOP language and a front-end framework such as Angular, React or Vue.js.
  • Experience working with both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases
  • Experience with Angular or a PHP framework such as Laravel would be considered an asset
  • A clear and effective communicator with the ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, and other documents that may be required to support software releases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed team player who thrives in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
