What We’re Looking For:
As the Compliance Manager you will play a key role in the organization by overseeing the compliance of Beam’s insurance product offerings. You will be expected to work with internal and external stakeholders to communicate key compliance and regulatory matters in a simple and effective manner. A key factor to success in this role is the ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and demonstrate a high level of motivation in helping the business achieve its goals.
What You Will Bring:
An enthusiasm for compliance, excellent oral and written communication skills for contact with internal and external stakeholders, organizational and project management skills, an ability to identify gaps and drive solutions, and an ability to interpret and communicate insurance licensing regulations.
What You Will Do:
- Supervisory responsibilities for the insurance product compliance team;
- Review and analyze state statutes, regulations and bulletins to determine impact and ensure adherence to filing and regulatory requirements;
- Standardize and implement company forms and policyholder notices;
- File and maintain all needed company licenses;
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance and regulatory reporting;
- Work closely with Beam’s insurance carrier partners on rate, form, and network filings;
- Work closely with Beam’s insurance carrier partners to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and business requirement documents;
- May be responsible for preparing and submitting filings via SERFF;
- Communicate rate, rule and forms filings with pertinent areas of the business;
- Participates in preparing regulatory and compliance documents and/or reports;
- Coordinates with state insurance departments on filing requirements, contract language and form requirements;
- Other duties as assigned
What Skills Will Help You Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in the insurance industry
- Familiarity with insurance laws and regulations
- Knowledge of insurance concepts, principles, and practices
