Our current focus is the BirdseyePost direct mail platform. This technology allows businesses to execute large scale direct marketing campaigns from a centralized, intuitive entry point. You will be joining the team to push the frontier on one of the oldest marketing channels, ripe for disruption using modern technologies.

About The Position:
We’re looking to hire a senior software engineer who loves their work and is both interested in building scalable systems and delivering features with high velocity. You’ll work alongside the CTO & engineering team to build features from zero to one, which includes owning design, implementation, and testing. This position is a hybrid/remote position. If you are in the GTA or surrounding areas, it is hybrid, if you live outside of Ontario, it is fully remote.
About The Team:
We’re a lean but strong engineering team with a mix of machine learning, data, backend, and frontend expertise. We work cross functionally with high collaboration and ship features to last with a high bar for quality. Your addition to the team will strengthen our backend domain knowledge and enhance the experience of our customers during high growth.
Tech Stack: NextJS, React, Python, FastAPI, SQLModel, Postgres, Redis, GCP Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, Terraform, Github Actions, Databricks, Apache Spark, Typescript, NextJS, React
Qualifications & Fit:
Demonstrates a first principles mindset towards generalized problem solving, not just in the context of engineering
Several years of professional experience in back-end development, ideally within our tech stack
Strong CS fundamentals & engineering best practices
Demonstrated experience delivering technically challenging projects to completion
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Proven ability to be a self-starter, work independently, learn quickly
Bonus Points:
You also have data engineering experience (much of your work will be connecting the dots between data engineering and front-end)
Experience with GCP, Terraform, or Github Actions for CI/CD
Experience working in a service-oriented and event-driven architecture
Experience with authentication
Worked with e-commerce data
Experience using OpenAPI
Experience working with protocol buffers

Competitive salary between $120,000 to $170,000 and comprehensive benefits package
