You will...
- Define and drive storytelling of Duolingo’s world characters across apps, brand, and marketing
- Direct story sequences when collaborating with design, art, audio, engineering, and product teams
- Ensure narrative consistency across multiple platforms and media
You have...
- A proven track record of writing compelling narratives
- Experience developing game scripts
- Experience inventing character lore across mediums
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative and product teams
Exceptional candidates will have...
- A background as a narrative leader, establishing vision and guiding story direction
- Experience specifically directing story sequences, not just writing them
- Strong ability to maintain coherence of character storytelling across diverse media and brand touchpoints
We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.
This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
