What You'll Do
As a Lead IT Architect, you will support clients in defining and delivering IT architectures and transformation initiatives, with a focus on the Banking industry. You will take ownership of complex project modules, contribute architectural expertise, and begin building industry depth and leadership.
- Analyze client challenges and define architecture solutions and roadmaps
- Own delivery of complex technical modules within larger programs
- Design and optimize modern architectures (cloud, microservices, APIs, data)
- Drive key technology decisions, articulating trade-offs
- Translate architecture into practical implementation with delivery teams
Banking Industry Focus
You will develop and apply expertise across key banking domains, such as:
- Core banking systems and modernization
- Digital banking platforms (mobile/web)
- Payments and transaction processing
- Regulatory-driven IT (e.g., KYC, AML, PSD2)
You will:
- Translate banking business needs into architecture designs
- Navigate legacy constraints and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to banking-specific knowledge and assets
Architecture & Delivery Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize complex IT landscapes
- Apply best practices in:
- Integration (APIs, event-driven, async vs sync)
- Legacy transformation (e.g., strangler patterns)
- DevOps and modern engineering
- Support vendor selection, QA, and technical governance
- Contribute to project management and delivery excellence
Team & Community Contribution
- Mentor junior team members and advise on technical topics
- Build a network within the BCG technology community
- Start contributing to thought leadership in architecture or banking topics
What You'll Bring
- 8–12+ years in IT architecture, software development, or consulting
- Experience in (or strong exposure to) banking technology environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cloud, microservices, APIs
- Integration patterns and DevOps
- Ability to balance technical depth with business impact
- Strong communication and structured problem-solving skills
- Degree in a relevant field; English and Turkish fluency
