Position Overview:

Forge Biologics is seeking a Facilities & Engineering (Project Engineering) Intern to join our 2024 Ignite Internship Program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the development of processes for critical spare parts and equipment management while implementing strategic efficiencies for the supply chain at Forge.

Who you are:

  • You are a current junior currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • You are studying Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • You are a self-starter, detail-oriented, collaborative, and organized
  • You have project management skills, are interested in working in databases, and can work with both internal and external vendors

What you'll do:

  • Design an intake process for Capital Expenditure (CapEx) requests
  • Establish a formal process for CapEx review, prioritization, approval and progress tracking
  • Establish a process that takes into consideration the project type, project integration requirements and other interdependencies
  • Support the management of the current 2024 Fiscal CapEx projects

Forge Biologic’s Ignite Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful experiences in a professional environment while giving our interns the experience to network with Senior Leadership and peers through a variety of activities and events. During the Summer Internship Program, you will work on real business issues/projects and learn from industry leaders. Our interns will work onsite at our offices in Grove City, OH (just 15 minutes from downtown Columbus, Ohio).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position works in both a warehouse and typical office environment where the physical work demands will vary depending on the specific tasks and duties required of the job. The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderate to occasionally loud. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 35 lbs. Ability to frequently operate a computer, and communicate with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices. Must be able to move about the facility for moderate to extended periods of time. Ability to wear task dependent personal protective equipment as needed.
