The future, as we see it, has millions of devices connected to the internet — everything from citywide bike sharing systems to smarter heart monitors to internet-connected eggs to catch turtle poachers. Hologram is here to connect anything to the internet — via our global cellular platform and network available in over 200 countries and territories. The future is connected, and we are connecting it.

About This Role

As a Principal Product Manager at Hologram, you’ll be responsible for defining and owning a product strategy that serves the needs of our customers and of our business. You’ll be trusted with the ownership and responsibility to define and champion a product roadmap across the organization that achieves our shared business and product goals, and will lead the company in bringing that roadmap to life.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of our core connectivity platform, from the earliest stages of problem discovery to technical delivery and customer enablement. Your success will be measured by the business and customer impact of your products and ideas, not by the number of features you ship or the tasks you complete.

If you are self-motivated, growth-focused, and have experience delivering features and products with company-wide impact, this role is for you. This role is a part of our Connectivity team, which collaborates with leading telcos to provide best-in-class performance for IOT devices. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and cross-functionally with colleagues in customer success and marketing to define, build, and launch industry-leading features.

What you'll do:

  • Establish a vision and strategy by collaborating with a range of stakeholders. Translate this strategy into action by breaking it down into OKRs, goals, value-based milestones, and requirements. Set and meet expectations on delivering the product roadmap in close collaboration with your engineering partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with team members, stakeholders, and executives to gather input, generate alignment, enable teams on changes and new features, and keep everyone in the loop about timing and changes to the roadmap. Maintain positive and candid relationships, even in the face of complex decisions, tradeoffs, or divergent viewpoints.
  • Proactively identify challenges or opportunities for improvement within and outside your direct area of ownership. Evaluate solutions and champion progress to an effective and efficient resolution.
  • Communicate customer and business value crisply and cleanly to generate clarity and alignment. Gather customer understanding, product usage data, and financial data to decide between competing priorities, quantify risks and upside, and measure the success (or failure) of a product initiative.

Helpful skills and experience:

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills that you use to crisply articulate requirements, evangelize product strategy, and collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners.
  • You have a growth mindset that you use to adapt your priorities and working methodologies to meet rapidly changing business and organizational needs.
  • You focus on impact over activities and are motivated by achieving collective success for the business through strong execution with your team.
  • You have a passion for combining hardware and software to bring innovative solutions to market.
  • You are technically literate and able to message at both high and low levels of technical complexity as the situation and audience requires.
  • You are a leader and able to influence up, down, and to the side. You have proven experience mentoring and growing those around you.
  • You are a problem solver that knows no problem is too big. You are extremely capable of decomposing and executing on very vague business problems.

Required experience:

  • Previous experience as a product leader with ownership of a product line that spans multiple squads and has an organization-wide impact.
  • Experience establishing a charter, operating norms, and quickly driving to customer and business value.
  • A track record of making a dramatic impact on both customer experience and business metrics. Ideally, at a growth stage SaaS company.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS or high-complexity B2C.
  • Previous experience working on IOT devices or other “smart” hardware, infrastructure, data products, and/or integrations is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with go-to-market or sales teams, and the ability to build messaging, positioning, and deliver enablement for the products that they’ve managed.
