At KOHO, we are dedicated to providing pay transparency to all candidates. Compensation at KOHO is determined through various factors including but not limited to: comparable salary market data within Canada, technical skill assessment, a holistic view of previous work history, and internal pay equity with other KOHO team members.
About KOHO
We’re on a mission to make financial services better for every Canadian. That means no hidden fees, no predatory interest rates - just financial products designed to help our users spend smart, save more, and build real wealth. We’re a performance organization with a strong heart: we care deeply about outcomes, and everything ties back to our mission - to financially empower a generation of Canadians.
At KOHO, we’re not your average 9-5. We believe real impact comes from people who are trusted, empowered, and supported to do their best work - without sacrificing their lives to do it. We prioritize work-life integration, not just work-life balance. That means asynchronous collaboration, flexible hours, and a remote-first setup built around autonomy and high trust.
KOHO is entering its next chapter - leaner, smarter, more AI-integrated. We’re building for impact, not bureaucracy. If you thrive in environments that value clarity, ownership, and bold thinking, you’ll fit right in.
About The Role
We’re looking for a Product Leader to join our team for a role to work remotely based in Canada.
Reporting to the VP Product, you will be leading the Engagement strategies for making our users fall in love with KOHO and never want to leave. You are expected to drive impact across the organization — shaping direction, influencing cross-functional priorities, and ensuring alignment between product vision and company goals. As a member of the product leadership team, you will be responsible for growing and managing your direct reports, building product strategies, and contributing to Product team activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the company-level strategy for member engagement, defining the multi-year vision and roadmap for our Subscription, Payments, and Insurance product lines.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of 2-4 Product Managers, scaling your impact by developing them into strong leaders.
Be the single point of accountability for your product vertical's performance, relentlessly driving your team toward our two north stars: top-of-wallet behavior and direct deposit adoption.
Execute through your team, guiding them to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle—from discovery and validation to launch and iteration.
Serve as a key member of the product leadership team, collaborating with peers in engineering, design, data, and marketing to ensure your team’s roadmap is aligned with the broader company objectives.
Who You Are
A proven product leader: You have significant experience in product management, including several years of experience directly managing and mentoring a team of Product Managers.
A "player-coach" who scales: You know when to step in and when to step back. You excel at developing talent, empowering your team, and holding them accountable for results.
A true strategist: You don't just manage a backlog. You are a strategic thinker who can define a compelling multi-quarter vision and strategy for a complex product area, aligning it directly to company-level goals (like our "top of wallet" and "direct deposit" north stars).
An expert executor: You understand that a strategy is only as good as its execution. You have a track record of shipping high-impact products and driving results through your team.
A collaborative partner: You build strong relationships with engineering, design, data, support and marketing counterparts, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared ownership.
(Optional but helpful): Experience in fintech, subscription models, or payment systems is a major plus.
