About The Landline Company

Landline is revolutionizing air travel by bridging the gap between regional communities and major airline hubs. We partner with top airlines like American and Air Canada to offer innovative multimodal connections across North America. Our luxury motorcoaches and shuttles replace short flights with a faster, more sustainable alternative—reducing costs, addressing pilot shortages, and enhancing passenger journeys. We are a venture-backed, high-growth company scaling quickly across the continent.

The Role

Landline is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Aviation Business Development with a strong consulting-style skill set to help own a growing pipeline of commercial opportunities. Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial, this is a hands-on, client-facing role at the intersection of commercial strategy, operating model design, project management, data analysis, and strategic storytelling.

You will own opportunities end-to-end, from first inbound inquiry through proposal development, client engagement, and partnership advancement. The role offers significant exposure to senior leaders across airlines, airports, and public-sector stakeholders. You will also work closely with Landline’s executive leadership team, providing broad visibility into how the business operates and scales.

This position is ideal for someone with management consulting or similar client-service experience who enjoys building structure out of ambiguity, developing compelling narratives, and spending substantial time in the field with partners.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a point of contact for prospective and existing partners
  • Represent Landline in meetings, workshops, and presentations with senior stakeholders
  • Travel (50-75%) extensively to meet clients and partners across Canada and the United States

  • Turn unstructured or incomplete information into clear, logical narratives
  • Coordinate inputs across internal teams and manage timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups
  • Manage multiple parallel workstreams while staying on top of communications and action items
  • Support financial and operational modeling in Excel to inform commercial decisions
  • Break down complex problems, structure solutions, and develop data-backed recommendations
  • Build trusted relationships with partners through professionalism and strong communication
  • Over time, take ownership of key client relationships with increasing autonomy

What We’re Looking For

  • 2 to 7 years of experience, ideally with 3+ years in management consulting or a similar client-service environment
  • Significant client-facing experience and comfort engaging independently with senior stakeholders
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and a strong eye for structured storytelling
  • Strong Excel and analytical fundamentals
  • Excellent project management and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, persuasive outputs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in transportation, aviation, airports, logistics, or operations is a plus

  • Exposure to senior leadership across airlines, airports, and government agencies
  • A highly engaged team passionate about changing the future of travel
  • Substantial room for growth as the company continues to scale
