We are seeking a Solutions Engineer with a deep understanding of the manufacturing process. This role requires expertise in CAD and a forward-thinking understanding of how automation enhances and transforms entire manufacturing processes. As a member of our sales team, you will work closely with engineering and customer teams to provide tailored solutions that address complex manufacturing challenges. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand and communicate the technical details of Path Robotics’ products, making informed recommendations to meet customer needs.
- Serve as a technical advisor for prospects and clients, addressing inquiries and providing troubleshooting assistance.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer manufacturing processes, including upstream and downstream workflows, to deliver impactful solutions.
- Be an expert in our machine learning, computer vision, robotics, sensors, and AI technologies, and their applications in manufacturing.
- Actively participate in customer engagements to assess application requirements and evaluate how robotic solutions integrate into and improve the manufacturing floor.
- Drive new business opportunities by leveraging a thorough understanding of customer needs to accelerate tailored solution development.
- Support the sales process from discovery to closure, including prospecting, application assessment, pipeline management, and final delivery.
- Gather customer feedback to inform engineering teams about potential product enhancements and new features.
- Lead and deliver compelling technical presentations that demonstrate product value and suitability for solving specific manufacturing challenges.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in related fields working with hardware and software.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including metal fabrication, welding, robotics, and automation, with the ability to assess and recommend solutions considering their broader impact.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and familiarity with simulation software (e.g., Octopuz, MotoSim) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach to customer engagements.
- Proven experience delivering technical presentations and effectively communicating product value.
- Ability to gather and analyze customer data to drive insights for better decision-making and solution development.
- Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot is a plus.
