Role Overview:
The Actuarial Analyst is a high-impact operating role responsible for analyzing, processing, and drawing insights from customer data, and leading day-to-day relationships with key partners. Additionally, you’ll leverage insights from customer and partner conversations to improve the efficiency of Sparx operations and inform Sparx’s product roadmap, ensuring our offerings align with market needs and customer priorities. This role is critical to supporting our sales strategy and will work closely with executive leadership to expand Sparx’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Analytics and Execution:
Lead day-to-day data and actuarial analytics responsibilities supporting multiple Sparx products.
Inform and help architect a data processing and analysis program to support Sparx’s newest products.
Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of Sparx’s actuarial analytics and data products.

Relationship Building and Account Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key industry partners and risk-bearing organizations.
Regularly engage with partners to maintain alignment and drive growth opportunities.

Product Roadmap Contribution:
Use feedback and insights from customer conversations to shape and inform Sparx’s product roadmap, collaborating with product and engineering teams to meet market needs.
Proactively communicate emerging trends and customer needs to guide Sparx’s product development strategy.

Market Insight and Competitive Analysis:
Stay current with trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the provider and value-based care sectors.
Provide market intelligence to inform Sparx’s sales and product strategies, ensuring our offerings stay competitive.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in a healthcare actuarial role.
ASA or FSA designation preferred, pre-ASA required.
Experience in the healthcare sector, especially in pharmacy benefits (highly preferred), value-based care, payers, or providers.
Superior Excel, SQL and Python skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent relationship management skills with a persuasive communication style.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $120,000-$150,000 annually, based on experience, plus potential performance bonuses.
