Opportunity

The Account Executive reports to the Thoughtful Leadership Team and is responsible for driving new revenue opportunities through targeted accounts. The ideal candidate has experience in enterprise software and/or SaaS sales (management consulting, investment banking, and/or private equity experience is a bonus) and will work to identify new accounts and take them through the entire sales journey, from initial prospecting all the way through deal close. The ideal person is highly motivated, able to work in a scrappy fast-paced environment, and has the ability to build new playbooks from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify target accounts and create a plan to penetrate them and capture meaningful share
  • Be an expert in objection handling, deal dynamics, and stakeholder alignment
  • Build and manage relationships with key decision makers across accounts
  • Ability to come up to speed quickly on client operations and recommend targeted (custom) solutions to fit their business
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects/customers to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Remain knowledgable of Thoughtful’s products and services to support prospect and customer needs
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Passionately support our commitment to creating an outstanding experience for our prospects and customers
  • Disciplined use of our internal CRM tools to record all communication with each lead, contact, and account
  • Work effectively with all other teams throughout Thoughtful

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or a technical discipline
  • 7+ years experience in sales
  • 2+ years experience selling complex technical products requiring a consultative sale
  • Experience generating custom proposals
  • Experience using CRM tools (we use HubSpot now) and Google Suite of products
  • Proven track record of quick learning and exceeding set goals
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue goals
  • Strong understanding of deal making through consultation and value-based selling
  • Process-oriented person
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset that works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent thinker with the ability to find the tools and resources to be successful
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, and networking skills
  • Metrics-driven mindset in order to exceed revenue targets
  • Technical/operations background by education and/or work experience
  • Experience working directly with the C-Suite at mid-market to enterprise clients
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Austin

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management consulting, investment banking, or private equity experience
  • Rolodex in our target industries (Healthcare, Legal, Real Estate)
