Someone who can easily navigate and anticipate customer pain points throughout the RCM space and elegantly present our innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in asking high-level questions to extract the essence of customer experiences with various leading EHRs across various subspecialties, understand how to coordinate services across primary and secondary platforms, and have a deep understanding of claims structures and payment processes.

Beyond technical prowess, this role demands a visionary mindset. The right candidate will be comfortable speaking about AI technologies (RPA, NLP, LLM, OCR) and capable of articulating our sophisticated solutions from a macro perspective to potential clients and articulating customer needs to the tech team to deliver quality solutions.

Core Objectives

  • Strategic Engagement: Target and strategically engage with high-value healthcare accounts, leading complex RCM solutions to successful implementation.
  • Execution Expertise: Utilize in-depth RCM knowledge to navigate and oversee intricate automation sales and implementation cycles proficiently. Ensure the delivery of solutions that surpass client expectations through strategic deployment, meticulous project management, and engaging closely with clients throughout the process.
  • Process Development: Anticipate and translate customer pain points gathered during deep dives, guiding customer engineers through processes and empowering them to create master automation plans.
  • Customer Vision: Walk customers through use cases, and understand and present master automation plans (SOPs), and contracts with sales teams.
  • Leadership in Best Practices: Provide expertise on how best-in-industry providers run their practices, including best practices in payer and insurance integration and the banking and financial aspects critical to RCM.
  • C-suite to Frontline Partnership: Build and nurture robust relationships across the healthcare spectrum, from C-suite executives to frontline staff, delivering insightful, consultative advice and demonstrating the comprehensive value of Thoughtful's solutions for operational success at every level.
  • Cross-functional Synergy: Drive training across sales, delivery, and engineering teams, enriching our teams with comprehensive insights and ensuring a holistic approach to addressing client challenges.
  • Expansion Strategy Development: Work with Client Success Managers and Sales Teams to identify, formulate, and execute strategies to expand Thoughtful AI's impact within client organizations, starting with RCM and expanding to other operational areas.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A background in Technology is helpful.
  • Proven Experience: At least seven years in RCM or healthcare finance, demonstrating leadership in successful initiatives and surpassing performance targets.
  • Industry Best Practices: Possess a deep understanding of industry-leading practices, encompassing payer and insurance integrations, as well as the banking and financial aspects of RCM. Anticipate customer pain points by leveraging platform knowledge and fostering collaborative conversations about solutions that naturally build client trust.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficient in handling a high volume of meetings, organizing schedules, anticipating upcoming needs, and managing last-minute changes while balancing support to customer engineers, sales teams, and C-suite executives.
  • Strategic Sales Proficiency: Ability to work closely with sales teams as a sales engineer with analytical ability to consider costing, revenue, and potential impact on customer revenue to understand the transactional costs per human and reflect the savings and ROI to the customer, navigating complex sales scenarios to deliver high-value solutions to our customers.
  • Technology Fluency: Proficient in EHR/EMR platforms across multiple subspecialties, with a thorough understanding of the technological requirements for RCM efficiency. Confident in tackling challenges and anticipating needs in unfamiliar applications.
  • Immediate Impact: Capability to quickly integrate into teams, contributing significantly and driving substantial results from the outset.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator who assists in developing materials for conferences and presentations, speaks to executives as an industry expert, and is able to travel to customer sites.

Preferred Experience

  • RCM Consulting: The ideal candidate has proven experience in revenue cycle management consulting. He or she has worked with customers across subspecialties and EHR systems facing a gamut of RCM problems and process re-engineered them to have concise questions and SOPs.
  • Healthcare Financial Strategy Expertise: Experience in healthcare financial planning or closely related areas, providing a specialized strategic advantage in RCM dynamics and solutions.
  • Deal Achievement: History of managing and closing significant deals, demonstrating an ability to enhance revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
