Our Iceland team is developing a next-generation cloud resource management platform that provides a unified API surface for managing infrastructure across multiple cloud providers. We're looking for a Frontend Developer to join our engineering team in Iceland and help build the administrative interface for our cloud resource management platform.

You'll work on a modern React application using the latest web technologies—React, TypeScript, and a custom design system. You'll translate complex backend APIs into intuitive user experiences, working closely with backend engineers to ensure the frontend is performant, type-safe, and delightful to use.

This is a highly hands-on role with significant autonomy. You'll own key features end-to-end, influence UI/UX decisions, and help define what "great" looks like for enterprise cloud management interfaces. You'll also be encouraged to leverage modern tooling—including AI-assisted workflows—to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.

What You'll Do:

- Build and maintain a modern React application with TypeScript for managing cloud resources and infrastructure

- Develop complex, data-heavy interfaces for enterprise-level resource management

- Work with OpenAPI specifications to generate type-safe API clients and integrate with backend services

- Design and implement reusable UI components following established design patterns and accessibility standards

- Collaborate with backend engineers to shape API contracts and ensure seamless frontend integration

- Implement secure authentication flows and session management

- Build responsive, performant interfaces that handle real-time data updates and large datasets

- Write comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions

- Optimize build performance and bundle size using modern development tools

- Contribute to the design system and component library to improve developer experience across the platform

- Participate in code reviews and help maintain high standards for code quality and consistency

- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, debug issues, and explore solutions efficiently

Required:

- Strong hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

- Solid TypeScript skills with understanding of advanced types and type safety

- Experience building data-heavy, enterprise-grade web applications

- Familiarity with modern state management patterns and data fetching strategies

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming

- Experience with component-driven development and design systems

- Good eye for UI/UX and ability to translate designs into functional interfaces

- Comfortable taking ownership and driving features independently

- Good communication skills in English

Preferred:

- Experience with modern React patterns (hooks, context, server state management)

- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and API-first development

- Experience with modern build tools and development workflows

- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC authentication flows

- Experience with frontend testing strategies and tools

- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA)

- Familiarity with monorepo structures and workspace management

- Experience working in early-stage or evolving product environments

- Strong comfort using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)

- Using AI for rapid prototyping, component scaffolding, and API integration

- Applying AI tools pragmatically to accelerate feature development while maintaining code quality

- Curiosity and openness toward integrating AI into day-to-day development workflows

- Full-stack capabilities (Go, Node.js, or similar backend experience)
